Great Trails…

January 23, 2018
Trail Report January 17, 2018 Conditions Good to Very Good The Conditions are the best we’ve seen all year. We have a solid base with a good amount of snow on top. Groomers have been out on all trails over the course of the week and we are classifying the entire trail system as good, but the further north you go the more snow you will find; the northern half of our trail system is considered very good. We are monitoring the temperatures for this weekend as currently Friday and Saturday are above freezing, we hope that with our base and minimal direct sun the trails will hold up. This Saturday we have a fundraiser at Eunica’s Beaver Lodge with an Italian buffet from 5 to 8pm, please come out and support our club as the money raised at these events assist with trail grooming. Be sure to check out trail 182 which has been groomed for the 1st time in 4 years and is in very good shape right now. Also, please remember to drive safe and at a controllable speed.

Conditions Poor to Good

The conditions today are a case of good news bad news. Bad news is last night we received rain, as of 9:00 a.m. this morning still some rain coming down but mixing with flurries. Expecting by 11am to be all snow and according to the modified forecasts still could receive a significant amount of snow today and tonight. As for the trails, most trails are being reported as good condition as our groomers have been out every day this week, trail 17 has had a lot of traffic and is very thin through town. This Saturday we have our Winter Blast Festival starting with a pancake breakfast at 8am, vintage show at 9am, pork roast at noon, kids games all day, and live music with refreshments 4 till 8pm. Come join the fun!

Still Fair to Good…

Conditions: Fair to Good

Trails are still very thin in the area as most of the Mercer Trail System hasn’t seen any significant snow since before Christmas. The super cold temps have frozen up the entire system and lakes as well. The Flowage is completely marked and in great condition. Our groomers continue to get out every night to knock down the bumps on the trail and do what they can with the low amount of snow. Most riders are heading north and west out of Mercer and reporting great riding conditions. We have a small warm up coming this week Wednesday, we will monitor the trails, but hopefully the warm weather brings with it some nice wet snow. Stay tuned for a mid-week update.

Thin but good feedback…

Conditions Fair

Trails are thin, but we have a good base in our area. Most riders have been quiet happy with the early season conditions. Snow is in the forecast tonight and tomorrow, hoping for some of that Lake Effect. We did groom 12B and 17 to Manitowish Waters last night for the first time this year without any issues; guess the cold weather did it’s job. Trail 12 is not yet open to Swamp Creek, it is passable but not groomed.

Better Than Expected…

Trail Report
December 20 2017
Conditions: Early Season
Quite a bit of traffic for the first week of the year, most riders are reporting conditions better than expected. Trails are in Fair condition with some areas being reported as Good. Please expect early season conditions as not all trails have been groomed. Expect some wet areas, so ride with caution. At this time Trail 12 is closed to Swamp Creek, 8A is closed from Hwy G to Hwy 51, and 19B is closed due to running water. Trail 8 south of Lazy Ace has some water holes but thanks to our new light weight groomer is passable. Please do not ride on any lakes just yet. Safe Riding and Enjoy the Season.
