January 26th UPDATE: Last night a couple of tractors went out and panned the grade. There is not much snow to work with but it did fill in some of the water holes and hopefully it froze down flat. They took a groomer out on 8-10 north of Mercer and found a little more snow to work with. With cold temps and some snow in the forecast, they will try and get the groomers out to at least pan the Mercer trails. Swamp areas are questionable at this time. We definitely need snow and cold temps.
January 25th: Trail conditions in the MERCER area remain poor. Received a dusting of snow overnight but that does not help with the current trail http://www.health-canada-pharmacy.com/accutane.html conditions. Due to two days of rain this past weekend and the warm temps trails are slushy and there are areas with bare spots. All grooming remains on hold for now. The flowage is rough and slushy. Riding is not recommended for now in the Mercer area.
We are including some area trail reports.
HURLEY Snowmobile Trail Report, Monday, Januar…y 23, 2017. Conditions are updated as we receive reports from the groomers.
White Thunder Rider Groomers report trail conditions as POOR! Snow and cooler temps are in the forecast for Tuesday night. Grooming has stopped. WHEN we receive more snow, grooming will resume. We do not recommend riding at this time.
MANITOWISH WATERS- January 24 Our trails are still snow covered with a pretty decent base. They are still a bit soft, for that reason i would call Our trails fair/ poor. We haven’t been grooming because of the warm weather, the snow tends to ball up like rolling a big snowball to build a snowman and tends to do more damage than good.
PARK FALLS – All snowmobile trails are open and in fair condition. The trails are mostly snow covered but are slushy or icy due to temps above freezing. Some bare spots are beginning to appear, and road routes and road crossings are becoming thin or bare. Grooming has been halted and will resume when the temps cool.
Trails in ASHLAND COUNTY are still open, but ride at your own risk. No grooming will take place until we get cooler temperatures and more snow. Conditions are Poor. Keep dancing for more snow! Just a reminder trails are still icy in some areas.
UPDATED TRAIL REPORT: Trails are still rideable, but sorry to say, going down hill fast. All grooming is on hold as the trails are very soft and we want to try to preserve any base we have for as long as possible. Forecast is not good. Temps in the mid to upper http://www.honeytraveler.com/pharmacy/ 40’s today with sun. Temp to remain above freezing this evening with rain moving in around 4am Friday morning. Rain forecasted for Friday and light rain for Saturday. Warmer temps to continue through next week Wednesday then hopefully back to more seasonable weather.
UPDATE: Effective immediately we have to stop grooming Trail #14 (Game Rd) for timber sales until further notice. Please use caution when riding in that area.
Very busy holiday weekend in the Mercer Area. Groomers have been out full force today working on the trails. Trail #12 to Swamp Creek Road still has not been groomed. Reports are that it continues to be rideable but is rough. Trail #12 between Camp 1 and Midway Bar has been reopened but use caution when riding that area. Reports over this past weekend were that the Mercer trails were all good to very good. Weather forecast right now is for warmer temps and sun. As with most years this is the annual January thaw. In reality it is the true “Indian Summer”. Typically this usually does not cause much damage to the trails and is followed by seasonal temps and snow. So as of now the trail conditions remain good. If conditions change this week we will update this report.
