Winter Season Coming Soon

The winter season seems far away, but we are potentiality just over two months away from sledding. The club is already working to get ready for the season and we should be receiving our new light weight groomer next month. 2016/17 Mercer Area Sno Goers Winter Raffle Winners

The Mercer Area Sno Goers are excited to announce the winners of the 2016/2017 Winter Raffle. The raffle drawing was Saturday night, March 4 th at Gateway Lodge. Grand Prize was a 2017 ZR6000 Arctic Cat and the winner was Terrance Maerz from Mercer, WI. Second Place was a Sled EZ Dolly & Lift; donated by Sled EZ, the winner was Cindy Coyle from Sheboygan, WI. Third place was $300 cash and was won by Nancy Edwards of Thorp, WI. Gateway Lodge also conducted a bucket raffle the night of the drawing and the winner of the assorted prizes was Paul Aschenbrener.

The Grand Prize Winner Terrance Maerz of Eunica’s Beaver Lodge and his business partner Eunica Kratochvil have generously donated the sled back to the Sno Goers to be used to help promote next year’s raffle. Darrell Fohr the Sno Goers’ club Treasurer called the donation, “Historical…nobody has ever done anything like that before for our club.” Their http://quotecorner.com/zovirax.html generosity and support of the club has ensured next year’s raffle will be even a bigger success.

The Mercer Area Sno Goers would like to thank everyone who helped make this year’s raffle a huge success. A special thank you to Gateway Lodge and Sunken Horse Lodge for donating the money to print the tickets, to David McNutt for organizing the raffle, to everyone who bought tickets in support of the club’s raffle, and of course a big thank you to Terrance and Eunica for being so generous with their donation of the grand prize to our club. At the March 2017 board meeting the club discussed putting the proceeds towards the purchase of a new light-weight groomer that would allow grooming of the area swamps earlier in the season.

Mercer Area Sno-Goers Memberships

Mercer Area Sno-Goers membership renewal notices will be sent out within the next couple of weeks. Membership with the Mercer Area Sno-Goers runs annually from September 1st to August 31st. As a member you will receive the clubs newsletter by email (unless otherwise requested by mail), and you will have voting rights at the monthly meetings. Part of your dues goes for your membership with the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs (AWSC). Through the AWSC you will receive a membership number, a subscription to the Wisconsin Snowmobile Magazine and be entitled to $3000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance Benefit for yourself, spouse and children under the age of 19. You will be eligible for a discounted trail pass ($10) for each of your snowmobiles if your sleds are registered in the State of Wisconsin. Please note that when applying for the discounted trail pass through the AWSC you will need to provide your snowmobile registration number and your AWSC membership number. If you renew your membership with a local Wisconsin Snowmobile club annually your membership number with the AWSC http://www.cheapambienpriceonline.com will remain the same. Your AWSC membership number will be on the address label of your renewal notice. It is also on the address label of the Wisconsin Snowmobile Magazine. In effort to reduce postage costs, membership cards from the AWSC will no longer be sent out except to new members. Suggestion is to take a picture of your AWSC membership number with your phone so you will have a permanent record. Membership can be renewed by filling in the membership form attached to the renewal notice and mailing with payment to the listed address. Or you can go online to www.mercersnogoers.com fill out the form and pay with your credit card. Please make sure that your mailing address and email address are correct on your renewal form. Once you renew your membership with the Mercer Area Sno-Goers your membership information is sent to the AWSC. This is done once a week. Thus, renewing your membership and getting a discounted trail pass most likely will not be possible the same day. Renewing club membership by September 1st allows ample time to get your trail pass before the 2017-18 season begins.
