November 25, 2019

A winter storm watch has been issued for Iron County, Heavy snow is expected between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. Total snow accumulations of 6-10 inches with a possibility of higher amounts around a foot. Snow will continue through the week and into the weekend with more substantial amounts expected. Stay safe during your thanksgiving travels. If the forecast is correct we WILL be out preparing the trails. Stay tuned!

SNOW!!

November 12, 2019

Over the last week we have received 4-6 inches of snow. This is perfect due to the fact that it’s very cold out and our swamps and lakes have time to freeze. With too much snow all at once it acts as an insulator and we don’t get the freeze we need. Things are working right on schedule and on pace for an early December trail opening. Next week we are forecasted to have mid to high 30s as temperatures so our hope is this snow will settle and freeze to start our base. After the cold temperatures this week we should be in pretty good shape in our wet areas.
